The coupling 23 with thrust collar 22 in assembly by one end
leans on a directing holder surface, and for the second end is suspended
on the negative corrector lever 18, it fixed on the corrector bushing 16.
The weight coupling collar is connected through unit of the negative
corrector to the rack lever 20 and through rod 32 with the fuel pump
rack. To the upper part of rack lever the spring 6 is joined, it holds the
pump rack in position appropriate to the maximal fuel supply
that pro-
vides the increased fuel supply at start-up of the engine.
In the lower
part of the rack lever is pressed-in the pin, which enters into the hole of
link slider 21. The shaft 11 of the governor lever is rigidly connected to
the control lever 6 (fig. 20) and spring lever 31. The travel of the gov-
ernor lever is limited with two bolts 4 and 7 (fig. 20). The governor
spring 4 is hooked for spring lever 31 (with short grip) (fig. 22) and
double-arm lever 5 (with long grip), the force of that spring
is trans-
ferred from the double-arm lever to governor lever through the double-
arm lever screw - 7. The adjusting bolt 10 is screwed in the governor
lever, the bolt rests against the spring lever shaft and serves for adjust-
ment of nominal fuel supply. In the lower part of the governor lever
there are the correcting device (12, 13, 14, 16, 18) with negative cor-
rector intended for formation of the fuel injection pump speed charac-
teristic and the engine torque curve. The governor level has the side
overlay that prevents the back corrector bushing 16 and thrust collar 22
of turn. Besides, the side overlay bolt, entering in side longitudinal slot
of bushing prevents of it falling from lever boring. The stop 34 fixed
on governor housing does not allow the spring lever be in dangerous
closing to rotating weights. The shut-off mechanism, consisting from
link 21, clamp15 and back spring, serves for the full stop of the fuel
supply. In a running time the link is pressed with the back spring force
to the adjusting screw 19.
From behind the governor cover is closed by a cover 3 of the
hatch with the buffer device consisting of the body 9 and springs 8.
The spring, limiting moving of the governor lever 17, provides steady
run of the engine idling.
The principle of action of speed governor is based on interac-
tion of centrifugal forces of weights and forces of springs with various
preliminary deformations.
On the not running engine the governor weights are in the
closed position, and rack 33 under action of a spring 6 of rack lever is
in the maximal fuel supply position (extreme left position).
