position to the moment of the overlapping with plunger end face of the
barrel inlet hole.
Measure the value of the tappet rise with indicator (fig. 68).
At the moment of a beginning of fuel delivery by the first sec-
tion the marks on the indicator of fuel delivery beginning and on the
injection advance coupling should align. The non-alignment should not
exceed 0,5º.
The pump sections should start fuel delivery in the following
order (in degrees of the camshaft turn):
№
1 section - 0
°
№
4 section- 180
°
№
3 section - 45
°
№
5 section - 225°
№
6 section - 90
°
№
7 section - 270°
№
2 section - 135
°
№
8 section - 315
°
The interval between the start-of-delivery of any pump section
and that of No 1 section should be accurate to not over 0°30’.
Adjust the start-of-fuel delivery with the tappet bolt. For instal-
lation of earlier start-of-delivery it is necessary to turn out the adjusting
tappet bolt, for installation later - to screw in. After adjusting safe care-
fully the adjusting tappet bolt with lock nut.
Checking both adjusting of amount and uniformity of fuel de-
livery make in the following order:
1
Check up the pressure of delivery valves opening start,
which should be
at 1,0
±
0,15 MPa (10
±
1,5 kgf/cm
2
). The checking of
the pressure of delivery valves opening start make on the moment of a
beginning of fuel movement from the pump sections unions or from
pipes with inner diameter 2
±
0,5 mm at gradually increasing of pressure
at the fuel pump inlet, at delivery-off rack position and at the blanked
by-pass valve hole
2
Check up pressure of fuel in a rail at the fuel pump inlet.
The pressure should be 0,075
±
0,025 MPa (0,75
±
0,25 kgf/cm
2
) at cam-
shaft nominal speed 1030
±
min
-1
for the 806.6-50 fuel pumps and
980
±
10 min
-1
for the 807.6-50 fuel pumps at the rest of the control
lever against the maximum speed limiting bolt. If necessary turn out
the by-pass valve plug and adjust the opening pressure with washers.
3
Check the air tightness of the delivery valves. At the deliv-
ery-off rack position, within two minutes the delivery valves should
not to pass the fuel at the pressure 0,11
±
0,1MPa (1,1
±
1,0 kgf/cm
2
). In
case of a leak replace the delivery valve as complete set.
