4 Wash with clean diesel fuel the
hood internal surfaces.

5 Put in the spring 9 in the hood 10
and the element 8 (smaller hole down-
wards), on the upper element flange install
the rubber gasket.
6 Put the attachment bolt washer 6
and hood gasket 7, install the hood with
element in the place and carefully tighten
bolt 5.
7 Let the engine and to be convinced
of tightness of the filter; leakage of fuel
remove by tightening of the bolt 5.
WASHING OF THE COURSE
CLEANING FUEL FILTER
1 Drain fuel from the filter.
2 Unscrew four attachment bolts of filter hood 2 (fig. 32) to
cover 7, take off the filter hood and flange 4.

Screw out the filtering element 3
4 Carefully wash up the hood and filtering element with clean
fuel.

Assemble the filter in the reverse order. At installing of the
hood, having convinced in correct (without displacement) posi-
tion of gasket. At the complicated access to the filter for excep-
tion of cases of displacement of the gasket it is allowed before
installation to grease the gasket from the side of cover in several
points with greasing.

Let the engine on 3-4 minutes to remove the air locks. Make
sure of the filter air tightness. Remove leakages with tightening
bolts, plugs and changing of gaskets.
