(under action of the own weight) pressed through the installing gaskets
to the output shaft rear bearing outside ring end face, and the input
shaft rear bearing outside ring – to rollers.

Measure absolute value of dimension A between end faces
of the input shaft bearing cover.
5.8.
Select the necessary number of adjusting gaskets proceed-
ing from a condition: S

Install the selected gaskets in the input shaft bearing cover
boring to end face.
5.9.
Join the input shaft bearing cover to the gearbox housing.
Tighten attachment bolts with torque 23,5…35,3 Nm (2,4…3,6 kgfm).
5.10.
Check up the correctness of the input and output shaft
bearings adjusting by means of the axial moving of any shaft, and also
by means rotating of the input shaft at speed 10…15 RPM, at that the
synchronizer couples and the shifting couple of the first gear and the
reverse should be in the neutral position, the blocking rings should be
pressed out from the teeth couple cones. The axial moving of the shafts
should be absent, and the turn torque of the input shaft should be
within 2…3 Nm (0,2…0,3 kgfm.). At unsatisfactory results of the ad-
justing remove the input shaft bearing cover and repeat the adjusting.
