HIGH-PRESSURE
FUEL INJECTION PUMP
The pump is located between banks of cylinders and has the
gear drive. The high pressure fuel injection pump is multi-section. The
number of sections equals eight, on number of cylinders of the engine.
On engines the high-pressure fuel injection pumps of various
models (see section “Characteristics”), having design and adjusting
differences,
are installed.

High-pressure fuel injection pump in assembly shown in fig. 20.
With the high-pressure fuel injection pump in one unit the speed gov-
ernor 5, the fuel feed pump 9 and the damper coupling 3 are incorpo-
rated.
