DEPRESERVATION OF POWER UNIT
1 Unpack the power unit and install it on the chassis of a
vehicle or on a stand.
2 Remove a packing paper, polyethylene film and adhesive
polyethylene tape from details and units.
3 Wipe with clean rags, soaked in petrol - solvent, the fly-
wheel surface (on engines, not completed with a gearbox, and clutch),
the surfaces of the crankshaft and generator pulleys grooves until com-
plete removal of protective greasing, and then wipe to dry.
4 Remove the lower cover of the clutch case hatch, take off
the blank cover and install the hatch cover on a place.
5 Remove transport blank covers and plugs.
6 Install on the places the details, removed at preservation.
7 At introduction in operation the special depreservation of in-
ternal surfaces of the engine do not make. Prepare the engine for start-
up according to the requirements of the Maintenance Instruction.
THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND FIRE-
PREVENTION MEASURES AT PRESERVA-
TION AND DEPRESERVATION
1 The preservation is made by the special workers who have
received the appropriate instructing, under the direction of the person
responsible for preservation, at the constant inspection with observance
of the requirements of protection of labour and fire-prevention safety.
2 The workers, serving baths of preservation, should be sup-
plied with oil-cloth or canvas aprons, rubber gloves and adaptations
preventing contact of hands with preserving materials. Near a bath on
the preservation section install wooden gangways.
3 Store the chemicals in a special warehouse in the special
closed container with labels and give out them only to persons respon-
sible for preparation of solutions and mixtures.
4 The storage and acceptance of food on the preservation sec-
tion is forbidden. Before acceptance of food carefully wash up hands in
order to prevent getting of chemicals in the food. It is forbidden to
wash hands in washing solutions.
