SERVISING THE
LUBRICATION SYSTEM VALVES
In case of possible jamming of the oil pump reducing valve or
the lubrication system differential valve remove them unscrewing the
attachment bolts. Wash-up the valves in diesel fuel, without disassem-
bling, and put them back in place. If the valve is faulty (broken spring
etc.) replace the valve in assembly.
LUBRICATING THE COMPRESSOR
DRIVE TENSIONER PULLEY BEARINGS
Fill the bearing cavity of the compressor drive tensioner pulley
regularly with lubricant as instructed in Lubrication Table. Apply lu-
bricant from mechanical or hand-operated grease dispensers through
the grease fitting (fig. 65) until grease starts oozing through the seal on
the rear end of the pulley (4 - 5 strokes of the hand grease gun).
