At the nominal crankshaft speed the centrifugal forces of the
weights exceeds the preliminary tension force of corrector spring 14,
and collar through corrector 12, and bushing 16 rests against the main
governor lever. At decreasing of the pump camshaft speed the spring
force becomes sufficient for overcoming force of weights. At that the
corrector 12 goes out from bushing 16 and moving the, coupling of
weights and system of levers, moves the pump rack in the side of fuel
supply decreasing. The pump camshaft speed, appropriate to the mo-
ment of a beginning of work of the corrector, i.e. moment of a begin-
ning of motion of the corrector from bushing, is adjusted by prelimi-
nary compression of the spring 14.
The less speed, the more a lugging of the corrector from bush-
ing and accordingly more the cycle fuel supply limiting.
At the speed
500 RPM
the value of the cycle fuel supply limiting is maximal and it
is determined by the maximal value of corrector lugging.
The speed governor is equipped with the supercharge fuel cor-
rector 1 to decrease the thermal stress and exhaust gases smoking of a
diesel engine on low speed and transitive modes.
Besides the corrector
protects the engine in emergencies arising at failures of turbocharger.
The principle of action of the supercharge fuel corrector that at de-
creasing of boost pressure, it influences on the fuel pump rack, reduc-
ing fuel supply.
The supercharge fuel corrector
(fig. 23) is installed on the
upper part of the governor housing.
The corrector case 16, membrane
case 5 and corrector cover 14 are attached to the spacer 20 with bolts.
Inside of the corrector case the piston 13 and spool 12
are located.
Through the stop 2 the pistons pressed with spring 4 to the corrector
case.
On the stop is installed the stop sleeve 1, which with spring 3 is
pressed constantly to an adjusting bolt 21 of levers 19 (fig. 28
б
). The
lever is installed on the pin 18 in the spacer. On one end of the lever
the adjusting bolt with a nut is located, and other end at work of the
corrector directly influences on the pump rack. In the membrane case
the membrane, executed from a special fabric, in assembly with a rod 9
are located, the case is closed with cover 6.
In the cover there is a hole
for air supply from the engine inlet collector. The lever 17, installed on
the pin transfer the movement from a rod to spool 12. The corrector
spring 11 rests in spool. For change of its preliminary compression in
the corrector cover 14 is screwed-in the spring body 10. On the case
are screwed-on the lock nut and the cap. In the corrector case is
