DISASSEMBLY AND
ASSEMBLY OF TURBOCHARGER.
For the cleaning of the turbocharger parts make its partial disas-
sembly, for what: remove turbocharger from the engine; - put marks on
the turbocharger housings so that at assembly to keep mutual arrange-
ment of their, unscrew the compressor housing attachment bolts and
remove the housing with care so that do not damage the compressor
wheel blades; unscrew the turbine attachment housing bolts, remove
housing. The further turbocharger disassembly under out workshop
conditions is not recommended.
Turbocharger assembly make in the order, return disassembly.
Install housings with care, protecting from damage blades of wheels.
For correct mutual arrangement of housings use the marks put before
disassembly.
AIR CLEANER SERVICE
The delayed service of the air cleaner worsens cleaning of air
and results in penetration of a dust into the engine, that causes the in-
creased wearing of cylinder-piston group and premature exit of the
engine out of operation.
Normal work of the engine needs regular ser-
vice of the air cleaner, and also the constant attention to a condition of
its details, is especial of gaskets, and to correct installation of the air
cleaner.
Service the first-stage air cleaner regularly, during the seasonal
maintenance. In case of continuous operation in the conditions of
heavy dust content and under sharp variations of an environment con-
ditions determine the maintenance interval, basing on the experience of
operations under the given conditions and the state of the first-stage
filter.
To service the first-stage filter detach the dust ejection duct and
air lines, remove the cover, unscrew the fastening rod, extract the paper
element, dismount the air cleaner.
The housing with the inertial grate
wash in gasoline, diesel fuel or hot water, air-blast with compressed air
and dry it thoroughly. When assembling the air cleaner see that the
gaskets are in good condition. Replace ruptured gaskets, check the
joints for proper sealing by seeing whether the pattern on the gasket is
continuous. At servicing check the dust ejection system for condition.
