3-2. Upper Drum Assembly Replacement

3. Removing the Upper Drum Assembly

(1) Insert the hexagonal wrench driver from the

screw hole (A) and loosen the screw complete-
ly.

The upper drum assembly is fixed with the four

fixing screws (C3

12) in the screw holes (A).

These screws cannot be removed because of

stoppers.

(2) Check that the projection of the hexagon screw

from the remover’s surfase is within 1 mm.

The upper drum remover is spplied with an

upper drum for repair.

(3) Attach the upper drum remover to the two

screws holes (B) of the brush slip ring

assembly with two screws.

(4) Turn the hexagon screw of the upper drum

remover clockwise by finger. The upper drum

will be detached from the shaft of the lower
drum slowly.

If the hexagon screw of the upper drum
remover is being rotated with the four upper

drum fixing screws loosen insufficiently, the
lower drum may get damaged.
