1. Installing the Cassette Reference

Plate (L)

Place the cassette reference plate (L) positioning
as shown in the figure, then place it on two

cassette supports.

2. Checking the Slant Guide Slantness

(1) Press the tension regulator slantness check

tool against the slant guide from the direc-
tions indicated by the arrow A and B.

(2) Check that the clearance between the slant

guide and tool satisfies specifications 1 and 2.

If the specifications 1 and 2 are not satisfied,

repeat steps

 until they are satis-

fied.

Turn the adjustment screw according to the

following manner to meets specification 1.

Bend the slant guide so that both specifica-

tions 1 and 2 are satisfied.

Check again that the specifications 1 and 2

are satisfied after putting the unit into the
threading end mode and the unthreading end

mode alternately.

3. Removing the Cassette Reference

Plate (L)

Remove the tension regulator slantness check tool
and cassette reference plate (L).

4. Cleaning

Clean the slant guide with a cleaning piece
moistened with cleaning fluid.
