7. Adjust the Tracking at Drum Entrance

Side

(1) Play back the YR2-1A (IRD: 0 to 200000)

with the REC head. (R FWD mode)

(2) Set the unit into the tracking adjustment

mode. (Refer to Section 1-11.)

(3) Operate the tracking setting value in the +

direction to bring the center of the RF

waveform to the 80 % of the maximum
output level.

(4) Loosen the upper flange of TG-2 so that the

tape does not come in contact with it.

(5) Turn the height adjustment nut of TG-1 so

that the RF envelope waveform is as shown

in Fig.1.

(6) Turn the upper flange of TG-2 and adjust the

height of TG-2 so that the RF envelope
waveform becomes flat. (Fig.2)
