5-1-1. Equipments Required and Connection

The following equipments are required for using the maintenance mode. Connect them as shown in the

figure below.

This software is for performing the emulation of the terminal using the RS-232C port (COM port) of
the PC.

The freeware “Tera Term (Pro)” is recommended.

2. for Network port

Never connect the GY-8240 network port to a general LAN unless authorized by the network administra-

tor of the LAN.
If the GY-8240 is already connected to the network in a system or LAN, check the network configuration

etc. with the network administrator beforehand.
Use of the network port for maintenance without checking may affect the system and LAN.
