5-9. ADJ Mode

5-9. ADJ Mode

To start the ADJ mode command, first check that no cassette is loaded, and then execute the command. If
a cassette is loaded, remove it first.
Check that no cassette is loaded also when executing other commands of the ADJ mode after executing
the ADJ mode command.

For firmware revision 1.21 or higher:

Adjust mode 51, 53, 54, 55, 56 and 58 are not usable. Refer to Section 5-15 as to adjustment of RF
system. (For firmware revision 1.34 or higher, adjust modes 51, 53, 54, 55, 56, and 58 are not dis-
played.)

1 through 5 of adjust mode are usable.

RF adjustment commands
51: RF PB all adjust (DTF-2)
53: RF error rate (DTF-2 PB Align)
54: RF error rate (DTF-2 REC confi)
55: RF error rate (DTF-2 REC/PB)
56: RF error rate (DTF-1 PB Align)
58: RF data save

When executing the above commands, if the cassette compartment and top panel are not attached, turn off
the power, attach the cassette compartment and top panel first before performing an adjustment.
For details on attaching the cassette compartment, refer to “1-2. Cassette Compartment Removal/Installa-
tion”. For details on attaching the top panel, refer to “1-1. Removing/Installation of Cabinet”.

This mode is used for automatically adjusting SV and RF.
The ADJ mode is set by entering “ADJ

” from the maintenance terminal. The message “ADJ=>” will

be displayed as the prompt. Enter the command number (or command) after this prompt and press

The command will be executed.
Entering “quit

"

” after this prompt terminates the ADJ mode.

The ADJ mode cannot be activated from the other mode. To activate the ADJ mode, terminate the current
mode first.
When performing normal operations after executing the ADJ mode, turn off and then on the power.
