5-9. ADJ Mode

5-9-6. Auto PG Adjust

Function:

Performs PG automatic adjustment.

Operation:

(1) Enter “3

” after the prompt [ADJ=>] in the ADJ mode.

(2) When “Press [Enter] after inserting the alignment tape...” is displayed, load the alignment tape (YR2-

1A).
If the cassette compartment is not attached, set the alignment tape (YR2-1A) in the tape running state.

After checking that a tape is loaded or set, press the Return key to start Auto PG Adjust.

(3) The screen will display as follows while Auto PG Adjust is being executed. This will take about 2

minutes.
To cancel the adjustment, press the Emergency Eject button.

To execute the check after pressing the Emergency Eject button, turn off and then on the power first.

When the check ends normally, “OK” is displayed. If it ends in an error, a message corresponding to

the error will be displayed. For details on messages displayed, refer to “5-9-9. ADJ Mode Error
Message”.

Use of tapes other than the alignment tape (YR2-1A) will disable proper execution of the adjustment.

Check that the alignment tape (YR2-1A) is in the Rec Inhibitation state.
