Adjustment

6. Adjusting the Slant Guide Slantness

Adjust the adjustment plate position by turning

the adjustment screw so that specification 3 is
satisfied.

When the drafting tape on the upper flange

and the tape touch:
Turn the adjustment screw to clockwise

direction.

When the drafting tape on the lower flange

and the tape touch:
Turn the adjustment screw to counterclock-

wise direction.

7. Rechecking the Tape Running at T

Reel

(1) Unthread the tape.
(2) Set the machine to the F. FWD mode, and

then to the FWD mode about three seconds
later.

(3) Check again that the tape running condition

satisfies specification 3.

If specification 3 is not satisfied, repeat steps
6 and 7.

(4) Apply the locking compound to the adjust-

ment screw.
