5-5. UPDATE Mode

5-5-8. DSP CPU

Function:

Transfers data from the maintenance port to update the DSP CPU.

Operation:

Enter “15

"

”.

As a firmware data  request message, “Loading application......” is displayed, then transfer the firmware

data to DSP CPU.
Once this data transfer is completed, “Loading loader.....” message will appear on the screen when the

loader automatically is loaded ready to follow the next processing.
To the firmware data successfully loaded on the loader side of DSP CPU, there appears OK message

saying “Checking...... is  OK”, and starts data writing to the ROM.
“Programming.......” finally “Done”, means ROM writing has been completed.

Make sure of the ROM version of DSP CPU, initializing the set again.
If a result of a message “Checking......” and/or “Programming......” be Error, perform updating again

keeping the power on of the unit as it is.

Be noted that the firmware data format is not the same to one used under “1: From maintenance port”, or
“2: From tape” of the update menu.
