4-3. Tape Running Adjustment

Confirmation

1. Set the L cassette

(1) Place the reel table in the L cassette position.

(Refer to Section 3-1-4.)

(2) Set the L cassette and put a weight (about

1000 g) on the cassette so that it does not rise
up.

2. Turn the Power On

3. Set the unit into the line mode

4. Check the tape running on the

entrance side of the drum in the
modes below

(a) FWD (PLAY) mode
Check that the tape running condition satisfies

specification 1.

If specification 1 is not satisfied, perform steps 5
and 6.

(b) VAR

1 times normal speed mode

Check that the tape running condition satisfies
specification 1.

If specification 1 is not satisfied, perform steps 5

and 6.

(c) VAR

5 times normal speed mode

Check that the tape running condition satisfies

specification 1.

If specification 1 is not satisfied, perform steps 5
and 6.

Tape Running Check at Drum Entrance Side

(d) F FWD mode

Check that the tape running condition satisfies
specification 1.

If specification 1 is not satisfied, perform steps 5
