5-5-5. From Tape

Function:

Reads the data from the tape, and updates the firmware.

Operation:

Enter “2

"

”.

This updating process is performed using a tape for updating on which the CPU firmware data is written,

instead of sending the data from the maintenance port.
When updating is started, a message to confirm the updated state of the unit “Firmware update ready...”

will be displayed. If the result displayed is “OK”, a message requesting the loading of the tape for
updating “Insert tape” will be displayed. Load the tape into the unit. Data will automatically be read from

the tape, and updating starts.
When updating ends, the tape will be automatically ejected.

If the result is “NG”, it means that the unit cannot be updated, and the UPDATE prompt will be displayed
again.
