5-5-7. IF CPU
Function: Transfers data from the maintenance port to update the IF CPU.
Operation: Enter “14

As a firmware data request message, “Loading application......”, is displayed, then transfer the firmware
data to IF CPU.
To the firmware data successfully loaded on the loader side of IF CPU, there appears OK message saying
“Checking...... is OK” when the screen changes to the next message “Erasing......” which means to erase
ex- ROM data.
With the following message, “Programming.....”, the new firmware data transferred and loader loaded
just before are written to the ROM.
To be sure, normal updating completes in the order of “Programming .....”

Make sure of the new version of IF CPU, initializing the set again.
If “Error” should be produced anywhere in the course of messages “Checking.....”, “Erasing.....”, “Pro-
gramming.....”, and “Verify.....”, perform again update operation keeping the power on of the unit as it is.

Be noted that the firmware data format is not the same to one used under “1: From maintenance port”, or
“2: From tape” of the update menu.
