Confirming the Reel Brake Release Amount (Refer to Section 3-12-4.)

Note

When the brake lining is worn, replace the whole blake assembly.

How to replace the brake lining assembly is the same on the supply and take-up

sides.

Preparation

Turn the power off and remove the power cord.

Remove the top panel. (Refer to Section 1-1.)

Remove the plate MD. (Refer to Section 1-2.)

Remove the cassette compartment. (Refer to Section 1-2.)

3-13. Brake Lining Replacement

Removal

1. Removing the Brake Assembly

(1) Unhook the spring put on the reel motor plate

assembly.

(2) Release the claw by pressing in the arrow

direction, then remove the brake assembly.

Installation

2. Installing the Brake Assembly

(1) Pass a new brake assembly through the shaft

of the reel motor plate assembly and fix it
with the claw.

(2) Hook the spring to the reel motor plate

assembly.

Adjustment after Replacement

3. Confirming the Reel Brake Clearance

Refer to Section 3-12-3.

4. Confirming the Reel Brake Release

Amount
