2-1. Periodic Check

To make the most of the functions, fully realize performance of the unit, lengthen the life of the unit and
tape, a periodic check is recommended.

Write value of “Hours Meter” (the value which would not be reset) into the Service Record Label at-
tached to the back of top panel at service of periodic maintenance.

And make reference to this service record for decision on the timing of next check.

2-1-1. Hours Meter

The hours meter can be displayed on the terminal screen  of a personal computer (PC) connected to
RS-232C port of this unit. Perform a periodic check with this hours meter as a reference.

1. Display procedure

1.

After entering “DIAG” from the PC connected to this unit, start the Self Diagnosis mode by pressing
the enter key.

“DIAG =>” is displayed as a prompt.

2.

After entering “5” as a command, press the enter key.

The value of “Hours Meter” is displayed on the terminal display of the PC.

3.

When quitting the Self Diagnosis mode, enter “QUIT” on the PC and press the enter key.
