11.13.2 Reception of remote frames
Table 11-25. Prioritization of Message Buffers When Receiving Remote Frames
Priority Ranking
Description
1 (High)
Receive messages can be stored in transmit message buffers when the receive messages meet the
following conditions.
•
Messages are not linked to masks
If several transmit message buffers have met the above conditions, the message buffer having the lowest
message number is selected.
2
Receive messages can be stored in receive message buffers when the receive messages meet the
following conditions.
•
Messages are not linked to masks
•
M_STATn register’s DN bit has not been set (to 1) (n = 00 to 31)
If several receive message buffers have met the above conditions, the message buffer having the lowest
message number is selected.
3
Receive messages can be stored in receive message buffers when the receive messages meet the
following conditions.
•
Messages are not linked to masks
•
M_STATn register’s DN bit has been set (to 1) (n = 00 to 31)
If several receive message buffers have met the above conditions, the message buffer having the lowest
message number is selected.
4 (Low)
Receive messages can be stored in receive message buffers that are linked to masks. However, the
following conditions must be met.
<1> If several receive message buffers are linked to masks, the message buffer will be selected
based on the mask number assigned to it. The lowest mask number takes the highest priority.
<2> If several message buffers meet the conditions mentioned in “<1>” above, the message buffer
is selected based on its DN bit (in the M_STATn register) (n = 00 to 31).
A message buffer in which this bit is not set (to 1) takes priority over a message buffer in which
this bit is set (to 1).
<3> If several message buffers meet the conditions mentioned in “<1>” and “<2>” above, the
message buffer with the lowest message number is selected.
