Option Description
Plate Width Specifies the Plate width in mm. The ANSI standard is 85.5 mm.
Row Offset Specifies the distance in µm between the center of well A01 and the top edge of the
plate.
Well Depth Specifies the well depth in µm.
Note:
The correct Well Depth value is required for autofocusing.
The Laser Autofocus Wizard calculates the Well Depth to compensate
for manufacturing variations on plates. In order to function properly,
manually set the Well Depth to within two millimeters of true before
running the Laser Autofocus Wizard.
Plate Height Specifies the plate height in mm.
Note: The correct Plate Height value is required for autofocusing.

Bottom
Settings Displays the Configure Plate Bottom Settings dialog where you adjust plate bottom
settings.
CAUTION! This dialog is intended primarily for informational and diagnostic
purposes. Only advanced users should use this feature to adjust plate
bottom settings. If you adjust plate bottom settings incorrectly, you might
damage the objective or plate. We strongly recommend that you use the
Laser Autofocus Wizard to calculate the plate bottom measurements instead
of editing them here.

Wizard Displays the Laser Autofocus Wizard which guides you step by step through the
process of having the software calculate plate bottom dimensions and the focus
laser exposure times that are required for each objective with the plate type.
