Running Plate Acquisition Protocols
Use the Run tab in the Plate Acquisition Setup dialog to run the plate acquisition protocol.
After you load a protocol, configure the wells and sites for which to acquire a data, and verify
that the current acquisition settings are appropriate, you can run the protocol and acquire the
plate data.

To run a plate acquisition protocol:
1. Select the Run tab.
2. In the Folder Name field, enter the name of the folder in which to store the plate
acquisition data.
Note: Names become part of the image file paths. If the overall path length is too
long, it causes errors.
3. In the Plate Name field, enter the name/id of the plate from which to acquire data.

4. In the Barcode field, you can enter the bar code manually or use the bar code scanner to
automatically enter the bar code. To avoid accidental reuse of a barcode, the barcode
does not save with the plate acquisition settings.
Note: If you use a robotic plate handler with an integrated barcode reader, the
software populates the barcode field.
5. In the Description field, enter the description of the experiment.
