5.1.2.2 Urocap NXT Preparation
IMPORTANT
: Ensure that the plug is fully inserted to avoid fluid ingress. Refer to
Figure 82: Urocap NXT Controls.
5.1.2.3 Roam NXT and PIM NXT Preparation
To prepare the PIM NXT for cleaning or disinfection, close the transducer doors and remove
the belt clips from the Roam NXT and the PIM NXT. Refer to the
Removing and Attaching
the Clip
section on page
99
for instructions on removing the clip.
When performing cleaning or disinfection, the Roam NXT and PIM NXT can be separated by
unfastening the screw holding the Roam NXT and the PIM NXT together. Disconnection of
the Roam NXT and PIM NXT is not required for cleaning or disinfection. For more
information on separating the Roam NXT and the PIM NXT refer to the
Removing the PIM

section on page

IMPORTANT:
Do not attempt to clean the inside of the transducer channels as this
may damage the delicate measurement elements. This area should not require cleaning as
it is protected by the transducer doors while not in use or by the catheter connector during
Urodynamic study. If dirt or debris is observed in the transducer channels as a part of daily
inspection, Contact LABORIE for service and/or disposal instructions.
If contamination is observed near the transducer channels during or post procedure, follow
the instructions provided in the
Cleaning the Roam NXT and PIM NXT
section on page
74
to
remove contamination from this area of the device.
Cleaning
Follow the instructions provided in this section to manually clean the NXT System and
peripherals.
IMPORTANT:
No method of automated cleaning or disinfection has been validated for
the NXT System or its modules. None of the NXT modules, Cart, Shelves, Computer, or
peripherals are sterilizable or autoclavable.
5.1.3.1 Cleaning the PC
To clean the PC:
1.
Prepare a cleaning reagent. See the
Cleaning and Disinfection Reagents
section
on page
71
for a list of reagents approved for use with the PC per the
manufacturer’s instruction.
2.
Prepare a clean cloth moistened in the cleaning solution.
3.
Wipe the PC thoroughly with a clean wipe.
CAUTION:
Do not immerse or rinse the PC or its peripherals. Do not spray cleaning
agents on the chassis. Do not use disinfectants containing phenol.
