Maintenance and Service

NXT Owner’s Manual, NXT-UM01, MAN2010

Wipe the area with a dry, lint free cloth. Ensure the area is dry to the touch.

Reattach, if removed, and close the transducer doors.

The transducer doors should only be kept open when reprocessing the area normally

covered by the transducer doors. Once reprocessing of this area is complete, close the

transducer doors to ensure that the transducer channels are not exposed to any liquids

during any additional processing.

5.1.3.4 Cleaning the Infusion Pump NXT

To clean the outer surface area of the Infusion Pump NXT, follow the instructions provided

in the

Performing Manual Cleaning

section. To clean the rollers and drip tray, complete the

following steps:

Open the pump door and wipe each roller with an approved cleaning reagent. Refer

to the

Cleaning and Disinfection Reagents

section on page

Remove the drip tray from the pump (Figure 61) and clean it separately with an

approved cleaning reagent.

5.1.3.5 Performing Manual Cleaning

Control NXT, and peripherals.

Turn off and disconnect all power to the NXT System or NXT module.

Remove any visible soiling by hand immediately after the completion of a study

using a dry, soft, lint free cloth.

Gently wipe down the surface of the Cart, Shelves, Computer, NXT module or

peripherals using a fresh cleaning wipe.
