5.3.3.1 Checking the Total Weight without a Saline Bag

To begin calibration verification, measure the total weight of the Infusion Pump NXT and

Infusion Volume Transducer without a saline bag:

Setup the Infusion Volume Transducer without a saline bag.

Click the

Settings

icon in the title bar, then click

System Settings

Device

Manager

option. The

Device Manager

window will pop-up.

Click the

Infusion Pump NXT

option, then click the

Run Diagnostics

button. The

device diagnostics window will pop-up (Figure 68).

Press the

Zero

button.

The Total Weight should measure as zero immediately after zeroing. To complete

calibration verification, check the total weight with a saline bag.

5.3.3.2 Checking the Total Weight with a Saline Bag

To complete calibration verification, check the total weight of the Infusion Pump NXT and

Infusion Volume Transducer with a saline bag:

Press the

Zero

button.

Setup the Infusion Volume Transducer with a saline bag of weight 500ml.

The Total Weight in the diagnostic window must be 500.0g +/- 5%.
