Read section A and B completely prior to operation or repair of golf car.

Shock Absorber Installation

Shock absorber installation is in the reverse order of disassembly except that the shock absorber nuts

(1,3) must be tightened until the shock absorber bushings (4) expand to the diameter of the shock

absorber washer (5).

Rear Leaf Spring Removal

If both springs are to be replaced and the rear axle is not to be removed, it is important to replace

the springs in sets, never replace just one.

Place a floor jack under the center section of the rear axle (6) and raise just enough to place a second

set of jack stands under the axle tubes. With both the rear axle and the frame supported, the 'U' bolt (7)

and the hardware (8) can be removed (Ref Fig. D3).

Remove the rear spring shackle assembly (9) and the front spring mounting nuts (10).

Remove the spring (11).

Rear leaf Spring Installation

Spring installation is in the reverse order of disassembly.

The shock absorber nuts (1,3) must be tightened until the shock absorber bushings (4) expand to the

diameter of the shock absorber washer (5) (Ref Fig. D3).

Tighten front (10) and rear (9) leaf spring fastening piece to 18-23 ft/Ibs (24-31 Nm) torque.

Tighten nut (8) to 16-20 ft/Ibs (22-27 Nm) torque.

Rear Axle Assembly Removal

The rear axle assembly is top heavy. To reduce the possibility of personal injury while removing the

rear axle, be sure to support the axle and motor assembly when removing the leaf springs.

If no lifting device is available, a second person should hold the motor in the correct position

until the leaf springs are removed. Both persons should remove the rear axle and motor

assembly.

Disconnect the negative (BL-) battery cable with an insulated wrench before attempting to
