If the vehicle is to be transported on a trailer at highway speeds, the windshield and top must be
removed and the seat bottom secured. Always check that the vehicle and contents are adequately
secured before trailering vehicle.
The rated capacity of the trailer used must exceed the weight of the vehicle (See GENERAL
SPECIFICATIONS for vehicle weight) and load plus 1000 Ibs (454 kg).Lock the parking brake and
secure the vehicle to the trailer by ropes.
HARDWARE
Periodically the vehicle should be checked for loose fasteners. Fasteners should be tightened in
accordance with the Torque Specifications table (Ref Fig. A7) or the specific torque values specified in
the program.
Generally, one grade of hardware is used in the vehicle.Grade-8.8 hardware can be identified by the
numeral mark on the hexagonal head (see Fig. A6).
