Connecting the PC to the plant asset management tool

A personal computer is connected to the FieldCare plant asset management tool via the service
interface FXA 193. The service interface FXA 193 is connected to the service connector of the
transmitter.

Switching on the measuring device

1.

Perform the post-connection check as specified in the checklist

2.

Switch on the supply voltage for the device. The device performs internal test functions.
Various messages appear on the display.

3.

Normal measuring mode commences. Various measured value and/or status variables appear
on the display (HOME position).

If startup fails, an appropriate error message is displayed, depending on the cause
