Making/Receiving Phone Calls
Playing/Erasing Recorded Messages and Voice Memos
Use this function to play back and erase voice calls and messages recorded using “Record message” and “Voice
memo”.
Playback
The “ ” is displayed for the recorded messages from voice phone calls and the “ ” is displayed for the
recorded messages from video-phone calls.
A star “

” is displayed beside recorded items.

When a recorded message is from a caller who provided a caller ID, the caller’s phone number is displayed during
playback. If the caller is stored in the phonebook, his or her name is also displayed.

The “Play/Erase msg. display” appears.

Press the number for the item to be played.
The FOMA terminal beeps and playback begins. When the message ends, the FOMA
terminal gives 2 short beeps and the playback display disappears.

To play the next message
Press

(Memo/Check).
Each time you press
s
[Memo/Check], the next most recent message is played.
Voice memos are played last.
■ To interrupt playback

To call the phone number displayed during playback

Note
● This function records a message each time you receive a call. When recording is completed, the quick message is canceled. You cannot set “Record
message” to “ON”. To have the FOMA terminal automatically record messages, use the “Record message” setting.
● The Record message function starts up even when Manner mode operation is set to use an “Original” manner mode and “Record message” is set to
“OFF” in that mode.
● If there are already 5 recorded voice or video-phone call messages, “Record message” does not start up and the FOMA terminal operates in
accordance with the settings for the Manner mode set in “Manner mode set”.
● The FOMA terminal remains in Manner mode when the call ends. To cancel Manner mode, hold down
q
for 1 second or longer.
● When “PIM lock” is set, the FOMA terminal does not record messages when set to Manner mode.

● You can also play back messages by pressing

in the stand-by display.
