Composing a Deco-mail
If you select “Decorate mail” for a JPEG or GIF image that is larger than 128 dots wide

128 dots high or JPEG that has a file size larger than 9,000 bytes, the image is resized so that it can be
attached to Deco-mail.
For GIF images and JPEG images other than the above, the Deco-mail compose screen is displayed without
processing the image.

Setting the position when setting an image
When you are setting an image that is smaller than the image display area, use this procedure to specify the position
in which the image appears.

Choose from the following options:

● If either the image width or height is less than 240 dots wide

320 dots high or 320 dots wide

240 dots high, the image is enlarged without
changing the aspect ratio and then the center of the image is trimmed to 240 dots wide

320 dots high or 320 dots wide
×
240 dots high. If the file
size is greater than 500 KB, it is resized to 500 KB or less.
● The resized image is saved as a new file in the same folder as the original file.
● Change of the position to trim the image cannot be performed in “QVGA trim away”. The central part of the image is trimmed.
● The titles and file names for saved images are assigned as described below.
・ Title: image XXX (where “XXX” is a 3-digit number)
・ File name: image XXX (where “XXX” is a 3-digit number)

Sub-QCIF scale down Reduces the image size to 128 dots wide

reduced to 9,000 bytes or less.

● You cannot compose Deco-mail in the following cases.
・ When you have 20 saved mails.
・ When the image is a GIF image that exceeds 9,000 bytes.
