Compose message Selecting “Compose message” composes an i-mode mail message with the scanned data used in the addressee,
subject and message fields.
If the e-mail address is selected, an i-mode mail message is composed with the selected address used in the

Dialing If the phone number is selected, the FOMA terminal calls that number. See “Phone To function” → P. 222

Add to phonebook Selecting “Add to phonebook” adds the name, reading, phone number, e-mail address and memo to the
phonebook all at once.
If the phone number is selected, the FOMA terminal calls that number.

Note
● If the data you want to scan contains characters that cannot be read by the bar code reader, those characters are converted to spaces.
● During “Self mode” set up, you cannot send i - mode mail nor connect to the Internet.
<Internet> <Add bookmark>
● You cannot use the Web To function or add a bookmark if there are unusable characters in the URL.
<Compose message>
● The address cannot be entered if it includes characters that cannot be entered.
<Dialing>
● Full pitch/Half pitch numbers and symbols (#* +) are the only other characters that can be included in a phone number. A phone call cannot be
made if any other characters are included.
● The TV phone image set by this function is effective only at the time of sending.
● Phone calls cannot be made during set up of specified call restrictions, dialed call restrictions, and self mode.

● The titles and file names of saved images are as follows.
・ Title: imagexxx (where “xxx” is a 3-digit number)
・ File Name: imagexxx (where “xxx” is a 3-digit number)
<Save melody>
● File names of saved melodies are as follows.
・ File Name: melodyxxx (xxx: 3 digits)
● Melodies without titles are shown in the Melodies list under their file names (excluding the extension).
● The melody volume is the volume that was set at “Phone” in “Ring volume”.
● You cannot play a melody during a call.
