Before Using

 

 

 

Operational environment

 

The PC operation environment to use packet 
communication is as shown below:

 

*1 : The FirstPass PC software is not compatible with Windows 98.
*2 : The required memory and necessary hard disk space may differ

depending on the PC’s system configuration. 

 

Required devices 

 

The following hardware and software, in addition to the 
FOMA terminal and a PC, are required.

 

• FOMA USB connection cable (optional)
• Attached CD- ROM “CD-ROM for FOMA N901iC”

 

Connecting the devices

 

The following procedure explains how to connect the 
FOMA USB connection cable.

Open the FOMA terminal’s external 
connector cap.

Connect the USB connector of the FOMA 
USB connection cable to the USB 
terminal of your PC.

 

3

 

Check the orientation of the external 
connector of the FOMA terminal, then 
insert the external connector of the 
FOMA USB connection cable straight 
until you hear a click.

Disconnecting the devices

 

The following procedure explains how to disconnect the 
FOMA USB connection cable.

When disconnecting the FOMA USB connection cable 
from the PC, use the procedure for safe disconnection 
in the respective operating system.
