<PIM lock>
Hiding Your Personal Information
Default setting OFF
Set this function to lock access to FOMA terminal features such as the phonebook, schedule, mail, camera and My picture
so as to prevent other people from viewing, altering or adding new personal information and from changing the FOMA
terminal’s settings. Once PIM lock is set, all FOMA terminal operations are disabled except for procedures such as viewing
pre-installed data, menu operations and incoming and outgoing calls that do not affect stored data.

PIM lock is released and

● When you make a call by retrieving secret data, it is not recorded in the “Dialed calls” or “Redial”.

● When you set PIM lock, all the entries left up to that point in the Redial, Dialed calls and Received calls records, sent address list and received
address list are deleted. Entries for incoming or outgoing calls after PIM lock is set are retained.
● You cannot delete desktop icons while PIM lock is set. Desktop icons that are not displayed while PIM lock is set, such as “New mail”, Missed alarm”,
“Phone number”, “URL” and “Email address”, reappear when PIM lock is released.
● When PIM lock is set, you cannot play or view i - motions, Chara-den characters or My Picture files or melodies that were not pre-installed. If you set
data of this sort that cannot be played or viewed as a ring tone or as the stand-by display, the FOMA terminal uses the default settings while PIM
lock is set. If you have set the calendar in the stand-by display, the calendar is displayed, but the schedule function is not activated. Also, if you have
selected “Background”, the FOMA terminal uses the “No background” display.
● While PIM lock is set, the alternate image sent to the other party during a video-phone is the “Pre-installed” alternate image.
● While PIM lock is set, you cannot check for “Missed calls” or “New mail” by pressing
s
(Memo/Check) when the FOMA terminal is folded.
