Sending and Receiving All Entries
The Infrared Communication function can be used to exchange all the data entries on the FOMA terminal with other
FOMA terminals.
●
The types of data that can be exchanged are as follows:
Be sure to read the following before using “Transfer all”.
■
About “Transfer all”
・
When you transfer all the data entries of a particular type, the received data overwrites the existing entries, including
any stored protected mail and entries stored as secret data. Check for any important stored data before accepting all
the data entries.
■
“Phonebook” data and “Transfer all”
・
Phonebook data is sent and received sequentially by memory number.
・
Transferred phonebook data consists of the name, reading, phone number, e-mail address, postal code, street
address, memo, birthday, still images, group names and icon information.
・
The sender’s “Own number” data is all transferred except for the phone number itself and overwrites the data on the
receiving FOMA terminal. Because the recipient’s e-mail address is also overwritten, he or she should change the
e-mail address after the transfer.
・
When a phonebook entry includes multiple stored phone numbers or e-mail addresses, all the data is transferred.
・
Phonebook entries stored as secret data are also received as secret data.
・
The phonebook secret code is not transferred.
Session number
When “Transfer all” is used, a session number is used to ensure that the sending and receiving FOMA terminals
recognize each other correctly. Before sending or receiving begins, the sending and receiving parties should agree
on a 4-digit number as the session number and then both enter the same number.

available space, received mail that is unprotected and has been read is overwritten, starting with the oldest message.
●
Sent mail overwrites unprotected mail in the Outbox folder, starting with the oldest messages.
●
Single data entries can also be received using “Receive all”. Use the same procedure as for receiving all the entries.

the sender’s FOMA terminal.
