Making/Receiving Phone Calls
Changes to the international dialing procedure
Because communication from mobile devices such as mobile phones is not covered by the “My Line” service, this service
cannot be used to access WORLD CALL. Consequently, with the introduction of the “My Line” service, the procedure used
to make international calls from a mobile phones has changed. Note that the previous dialing procedure (the procedure
described below with “010” removed) can no longer be used.
Using dial key to make international calls

Dial the number in the following order: 009130-010-(country code)-(area code)-(the
other party’s phone number).
If the area code begins with a zero (0), omit the zero when dialing. However, note that calls to ordinary phones in Italy
require the initial zero.

Using “+” to make an international call
By using the “+” prefix, you can make international calls without having to dial the international access code (e.g.
009130-010).
● At the time of purchase, “Auto assist setting” in “Int’l dial setting” (P. 56) is set to “Auto”, so that the FOMA terminal
automatically dials the international access code.

You can change the settings used for dialing overseas calls and store new country codes. The table below lists the
available options.
