Image checking display function menu 2/2
Shooting with the FOMA terminal folded <Shoot closed>
Use this procedure to start up the Camera function and shoot still images when the FOMA terminal is folded with the
stand-by display showing.
●
Pressing
s
( ) does not start up the Camera function when “Side keys guard” is set to “ON”.

Hold down
s
( ) for 1 second or longer.
The Camera function starts up in Photo mode. The image format is the format used for the last image shot.
To change the image format or adjust the brightness or zoom, open the FOMA terminal before proceeding.
■ To use the light
Press
a
( ) to turn the light on or off.

Point the camera at the subject
s
Press
s
( ).

Open the FOMA terminal and use the procedure described in “Shooting with the
FOMA terminal unfolded” (P. 166) to check and save the photographed image.

Display size
s
Choose from the following options:
Set the display mode for images smaller than stand-by size (240
×
320).
This option can only be set when the image format is Mail(L) (176
×
144) or Mail(S) (128
×
96).

Actual size
(default setting)
Displays the image at its actual size.

Fit in display Enlarges the image to fit the display.

File restriction
s
Choose from the following options:
Set the file restrictions.

File unrestricted
(default setting)
Allows the file to be sent or forwarded from the FOMA terminal to which the file is
sent.

File restricted Prevents the file from being sent or forwarded by the FOMA terminal to which the
file is sent.

Cancel

Select “YES” and press

Deletes the photographed image and so you can retake the shot.

● You can also compose an i

mode mail message with a photographed image attached by pressing

( ) during image checking.
<Edit image>
● Selecting “Edit image” changes the image display to normal display.
● The “Edit image” option can be used with images of the following sizes:
CIF (352
×
288), Stand-by (240
×
320), Mail(L) (176
×
144) and Mail(S) (128
×
96)
<File restriction>
● You can also change the file restriction setting after a file is saved.
Note
● You can also take pictures when the FOMA terminal is folded with the shooting display showing.
●
By setting Auto save set to “ON”, you can have the FOMA terminal automatically save photographed images without being opened.
● To exit the Camera function while the FOMA terminal is folded, hold down
s
( ) for 1 second or longer.
● The camera function automatically ends if you do not touch the keys for more than 3 minutes.
