FUEL SHUT-OFF VALVE

See General Warning, Section 1, Page 1-1.

The fuel shut-off valve is located on top of the fuel tank

(Figure 14-20, Page 14-28 or Figure 14-21,

Page 14-28)

. The fuel shut-off valve should always be turned to the closed (OFF) position during vehicle stor-

age, towing or trailering. Unless the engine will be run as part of a procedure, the fuel shut-off valve should
also be closed (OFF) before performing maintenance or service procedures.

CARBON CANISTER (IF EQUIPPED)

See General Warning, Section 1, Page 1-1.

WARNING

• If the carbon canister is damaged, replace it. Do not attempt to repair it. See the following

canister removal procedure.

CARBON CANISTER REMOVAL

1. Disable the vehicle.

See Disabling The Vehicle on page 1-3.

2. Remove seat bottom from vehicle or raise and secure cargo bed.

3. Remove hose clamps (6), securing three hoses (5, 7 and 8) to canister (1), and disconnect hoses

(Figure 14-22, Page 14-29)

.

4. Push/pull the canister to force it from its mounting bracket (2).
