ENGINE IDENTIFICATION

Throughout this manual, important vehicle information and features are highlighted. The procedures in this
manual apply to vehicles equipped with the standard FE400 engine and key-start with neutral "rev".

NOTE: 272 vehicles can be found custom ordered equipped with the non-standard FE350 engine with
pedal-start.
SERIAL NUMBER IDENTIFICATION
The serial number of each vehicle is printed on a bar code decal mounted either below the passenger side
cup holder or above the accelerator or brake pedal (Example: PH0901-583947)
(Figure 3-1, Page 3-2) .
There is also a second serial number decal mounted on the front body frame behind the dash panel. The
dashboard must be removed to view this number.
The two letters (1) at the beginning of the serial number indicate the vehicle model. The following four digits
(2) indicate the model year and production week during which the vehicle was built. The six digits (3) following
the hyphen represent the unique sequential number assigned to each vehicle built within a given model year.
