Modular system
System boxes/card rack fields
Tightening system components must be installed in a system box or card rack field for operation. This
creates the connection between the units and provides the units with electric power.
Servo amplifier, control unit, communication unit
Servo amplifier
Determining the necessary size of the tightening spindle or using an ErgoSpin hand-held nutrunner results
in the selection of the corresponding servo amplifier together with table

Control units
SE352 or SE352M control units can be inserted into a corresponding slot in SB356 or BT356.
The SE352M control unit has one unoccupied slot. An IM24V interface module can be inserted into this
slot.

Due to the data transmission times, Rexroth recommends connecting a maximum of 8 tightening channels
in single-channel operation within a tightening system.
Example
Two card racks/system boxes (total of 6 slots with KE) are needed for the 5tightening channels in the
example
, as the power consumption of the 5tightening channels (225 A) exceeds the
permissible power consumption of 140 A for a system box or card rack. A combination of two SB356
system boxes, networked via network couplers, is a possible solution. The alternative would be two
BT356 card rack fields in a control cabinet.
