ToolsNet communication

This section describes how the Rexroth Tightening System 350 is connected to a "ToolsNet Server
3000" by Atlas Copco via the "ToolsNet gateway" and an Ethernet connection.

6.6.1

Overview

The tightening results in a Rexroth Tightening System 350 are transmitted via TCP/IP using the "XML
V2.0" protocol (in short:

XML protocol

) to the "ToolsNet Gateway V1.0.2" (in short:

ToolsNet gateway

).

By means of the XMLToolsNetGW service (in short:

ToolsNet service

), the ToolsNet gateway converts

the tightening results from the XML protocol into the "ToolsNet Open Protocol V3.2" (in short:

ToolsNet

protocol

) and transfers them for storage to an Atlas Copco "ToolsNet Server 3000" (in short:

ToolsNet

server

).

To be able to use this system you must install and configure the ToolsNet gateway. In addition, the
appropriate settings must be made in the operating system BS350. The steps required are described in
the following sections.
