4.4.6 Update Scanner Calibration File

A scanner correction file contains the geometrical calibration of your scanner which is used to improve the accuracy of the

laser scanning. When a scanner calibration is performed and a new scanner correction file is generated, you have to manually

configure the machine to use the new scanner correction file.

1. Get the latest calibration file for your machine from

InfoCenter

2. Navigate to the Calibrations folder and to your machine serial number.
3. Download the latest version of the calibration file, e.g.

D2_1224_LM45_v04.ct5

4. Copy this file to your machine and copy it into the folder

C:\3D Systems\Config\Machines\LM45\Unit x

Caution: Make sure you place the file in the correct machine folder (LMxx, where xx is your machine serial

number) but also in the correct optical unit folder. If your machine is equipped with only 1 laser/optical unit,

place the file in the subfolder Unit 1.

Caution: Should this folder not exist, this means the machine is still running old software and will need to be

upgraded.

5. To finalize the configuration, start DMP Control.
6. Select

Admin

Configurations

Machine configuration

7. Enter the name of your new correction file in the

corresponding optical unit (see image to the right and

below).

8. Click the

Save

button.

9. Restart DMP Control
10. From now on, the new scanner correction file will be used.
