TROUBLESHOOTING

7.1 Client Software (DMP Control, DMP Explorer,…) Does Not Work

Make sure your computer can access the DMP Server by checking the following address in Windows Explorer:

• \\DMPserver\
• \\ip address of the server\

If you cannot access the DMP Server, no DMP software program will work correctly. Contact your local IT administrator to set up

the correct access, The default DMPserver login details are:

• User name: LM
• Password: DMPuser

7.2 Change, Repair or Uninstall DMP Software

Note: This section only applies to software v36.1+, release from September 2017 onwards.

In Windows goto Control Panel
1. Click

Programs and Features

2. Find

DMP Client Software

DMP Machine Software

and click

Change

3. Follow the steps.

7.3 Re-install Scanner Driver Files

When installing both legacy (v33) and 3Dxpert machine software (v36+) on the DMP printer there could be problems with

incorrect scanner driver files, in particular when switching between old and new software.

7.3.1 Symptoms

•

Error message like: ‘Version error or incompatible version for dll, firmware or hex/DSP file’

•

Error about scanner version during program startup

•

The software does not recognize it is a real physical machine.

7.3.2 Prerequisites

•

Verify if no other DMP Control is running; close all DMP software and start DMP Control

•

Ensure there is connection to DMP Server

7.3.3 Solution

In v36+ you can re-install the scanner driver via DMP Control > Machine > Scanner > Reinstall scanner driver… In most cas-

• Copy the complete content from folder
