C. Disposal Information
The filter is intended to be disposed of as a complete unit.
WARNING: NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE OPEN/CUT/CRUSH THE FILTER HOUSING.
Because the filter vessel has UN certification, it can be transported as is and does not require additional packaging.
The filter vessel equipped with the provided closing set has been certified under the UN guidelines for transport of class 4.2
and class 9 hazardous materials up to a total weight ( contents) of 70 kg for vessels manufactured through 2016. Vessels
manufactured from the beginning of 2017 to the present may have a total weight of 100 kg (220 lbs.).
Dispose of the used filter in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Have the used filter vessel picked up by a hazardous waste transportation company that handles chemical waste. Waste
disposal companies generally process the filter vessel in the same way as scrap metal stored in standard metal drums, i.e.
by burning the vessel with its content in an incinerator that can process metal scrap without vessel pre-processing, such as
mangling or crushing. This information is indicative based on supplier feedback.

Note: The filter vessel is not subject to the Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU) as it is only exposed to a
maximum pressure of 150 mbar.
