8. Inspect the internal valve. The valve must be closed after

the centering ring is removed.

WARNING: DO NOT USE THE FILTER IF THE VALVE

WILL NOT CLOSE.

9. Install the centering ring with standoff tube in the filter

outlet port. The stem of the centering ring must be placed

directly on the locating pin of the internal valve.

10. Press the filter outlet valve assembly directly on top of the

centering ring.

11. The internal valve is spring loaded. Push the valve

assembly down against the centering ring until the flanges

meet.

12. Install the KF50 clamp to secure the filter outlet valve

assembly. Tighten the KF50 clamp to 2 Nm (1.5 ft. lbs.).
