Preparing to Run a Pre-programmed Job

Power up the System
1.
Close all doors.
2.
Power up the machine.
3.
Press
Reset
.
Activate HMI
Activate the HMI by double-clicking the
TM-500
HMI icon on the monitor.
If the TM-500 was not powered off and modules were not changed prior
to running the current job, proceed to the next section.
If the TM-500 was powered off or if new
Input, Output
or
Test Modules
were installed for the job the motors will need to be homed prior to opera-
tion.
Home Motors
Note:
The TM-500 only needs to be homed once after each power up. Once the
motors have been homed, they remain homed until the machine is powered down.

Click on the
System
drop-down menu in the
program bar at the top of the page. Select
Home The Motors
.
The TM-500 motor homing
sequence begins with the nozzle
moving slowly upwards (
Z Axis
movement). After about a three
second delay, the pick head will
begin to move slowly to the right
towards the taper (
X Axis
movement). The homing sequence will continue until the nozzle has risen to its
highest position and then returned to home and the head has moved all the way to
the right and then returned to home.
Note:
If the
Tray Input Module
is installed, the motor homing sequence will also
home the trays.
Once the nozzle and head have stopped moving, homing is complete.
