Equipment Required:
Vacuum pump
Vacuum gauge
Shut-off valve
1. Remove the cover.
2. With the instrument running, cap all external ports on the rear panel
except the EXHAUST port.
3. If the instrument is equipped with a permeation oven, activate the
permeation oven from the front panel controls. Refer to the
“Operation” chapter for additional permeation oven operation
information, if necessary.
4. Connect a shutoff valve between the external vacuum pump intake and
the vacuum gauge.
5. Attach the external vacuum pump/vacuum gauge assembly with the
vacuum gauge side to the calibrator EXHAUST port.
6. Apply vacuum until the gauge stabilizes, then trap the vacuum with the
shut-off valve.

service representatives.
If the equipment is operated in a manner not specified by the manufacturer,
the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
Equipment Damage
Some internal components can be damaged by small
amounts of static electricity. A properly grounded antistatic wrist strap must
be worn while handling any internal component.
