RS232 INTERFACE SECTION
z
The green POWER led signals the connection of the interface to the control panel (LED on = connection ok).
z
The red LOW VOLTAGE led signals power supply of the control panel:
• Led on
= voltage inferior to 12V or interface disconnected (the flash programming function is disabled)
• Led off
= voltage ok (superior to 12V)
2E.1.3
FLASH PROGRAMMING SECTION
The flash programming section is used for firmware upgrade. To upgrade the firmware version of the control panel
follow the instructions supplied by the programming software on the PC.
The button S1 permits to initiate and interrupt the flash programming process.
z
The yellow PROG led signals flash programming:
• Led on
= flash programming active (firmware upgrade active, control panel disarmed)
• Led off
= flash programming deactivated (normal functioning).
2E.2
MULTIFUNCTIONAL INTERFACE PROG USB
The programming interface PROG USB permits the connection of the control panel via serial bus to a PC for
programming and monitoring. In addition, it permits programming of the flash memory of the control panel (firmware
upgrade) and upgrade of the vocabulary.
If need be, the interface may be used as a hardware key for the programming and monitoring software. In this case,
the user license will be programmed inside the interface and it will be possible to use it exclusively coupled with the
license. This feature is been implemented in the programming and monitoring software from version 2.1 onwards.
2E.2.1
CONNECTION
The connection with the PC is made by means of either a standard USB cable or, if not used for any control panel, a
standard 9-wires serial cable.
For the connection with the control panel TP16-256 a 10-wires TTL telephone cable is used.
The other ports are reserved for the connection of different types of Tecnoalarm devices.
